Saturday was nice and toasty, I hope everybody enjoyed the blowout.

OSU Bullets

Watching Tylan Wallace on Saturday was a work of art. How many defenders took the wrong angle on his first touchdown?

Then, Spencer Sanders threw a simple screen pass to Tylan Wallace, and the Cowboys got a wake-up call.

Wallace delivered it.

The Cowboy receiver sprinted down the sideline, eluding one defender. Then two. Then three. Then four. They dove and lunged, but not a one of them kept Wallace from the end zone. [NewsOK]

• Tramel has the Pokes at the No. 2 spot in the Big 12 after Texas’ loss.

2. Oklahoma State 2-0: The Big 12’s second-best win was the Cowboys’ 52-36 victory at Oregon State. Hope that doesn’t hold. [NewsOK]

It can be appreciated to rank teams by their quality of wins (and not cache associated with their name).

• Something great to watch in this next game (against Tulsa) will be how OSU’s rushing attack fares.

In its next two games, OSU visits the University of Tulsa and the University of Texas. The run defense of the Golden Hurricane and Longhorns is infinitely better than what was encountered in the Oregon State and McNeese games. [TulsaWorld]

• This seems like a fair assessment of the Cowboy Defense over the weekend.

The Cowboys defense looked better this week and I know the opponent wasn’t great, but the Pokes held McNeese State scoreless in the first half before allowing a couple scores when the game was well in hand. [HCS]

Not exactly brain surgery being done in that analysis but there’s no need to complicate the issue – outside of a long Orgeron scramble, the defense seemed to contain pretty well.

• Interesting betting lines for week three of college football

Linebacker Calvin Bundage and defensive linemen Israel Antwine were both held out for the second straight week – it feels like Gundy is going to week-to-week us on Bundage then he’s out all year. why else would you move one of your best safeties?

• This was wild – BYU player tackles the QB then tosses his shoe. Would this be a delay of game penalty? Roughing the passer?

Non-OSU Bullets

• A little bit of high finance here but how Starbucks getting its customers to use reloadable gift cards is a brilliant move

• Challenging insights comparing two different 9-to-5 jobs

• Kind of wild to see every country’s most-watched TV show
