Gundy-Pickens News
Here is Gundy talking about Boone Pickens. [PFB]
Bill Haisten on the Gundy-Pickens fallout: “OSU athletic director Mike Holder has not made himself available for reaction to the most recent Gundy-Pickens situation. Holder is the middle man here. He wants to sustain support of both his No. 1 donor and his football coach, and anything he says — anything beyond a “no comment” — might be perceived as a slight on either side. As a result, the athletic director no longer makes the occasional appearance in the press box or at a Gundy news conference. Within the past few weeks, Holder has ignored multiple interview requests.” [Tulsa World]
Football News
Brad Lundblade: “You can’t take anybody lightly. We have to prepare just like we did for Texas and Baylor and Pitt and all the other games. We will get in film today and get out to practice tomorrow and get ready to go.” [NewsOK]
Chris Lacy was an unsung hero on Saturday. While Vincent Taylor was heralded for his PAT blocks, Lacy’s downfield blocking helped OSU break some big plays in the 49-31 win. Lacy had a big block on Washington’s man in the middle of the field to help spring Washington for a 54-yard catch-and-run touchdown. [Tulsa World]
Mike Yurcich is out here just ending careers. [PFB]
Gundy on Jordan Brailford: “At the end of the year last year, we felt like was going to be a pretty dominant force in this league. He hasn’t gotten to that point yet.” [Tulsa World]
Thomas Fleming with another great post on how OSU used Jalen McCleskey against Texas. [PFB]
Jalen McCleskey on Rudolph running with the ball: “I was surprised about that. I didn’t expect him to be trucking people.” [NewsOK]
First responders will be grand marshals for the Homecoming parade later this month. That’s awesome. [PFB]
