Gundy said Marcell Ateman has cleared one round of X-rays and is free from the protective boot he wore for several weeks. There will be another set of X-rays taken in 10 days, when a return to football activities could take shape, beginning with jogging. [NewsOK]

Gundy on how he felt when CMU completed the TD: “That’s the feeling you get that if you coach long enough. It’s like (Nick) Saban. Auburn did it to him with the kickoff. Gundy on how he took his frustration out on his son Gunnar: “Gunnar got two hours of misery from me. It’s certainly not coaching Stillwater and it’s certainly not coaching schemes. It’s just me coaching him. He kind of took the blow for me needing to get two hours. He had a JV game, see, so I had like 103 plays to go over with him. You can imagine how miserable he was. He played pretty average, so that made it worse. Anyway, he’s lucky to be where he’s at in a great situation.” [O’Colly]

Gundy on how often he will think about the CMU ending: “500 times if I live long enough. Whether I’m driving, sitting in the shower or a bathtub, sleeping and wake up in the middle of the night. Forever.” [NewsOK]
