Dan Bailey Goes Perfect 3-for-3 in Thursday Night Loss to Rams
Dan Bailey still plenty productive after batting 1.000 in Vikings debut.
Dan Bailey signed with the Minnesota Vikings ahead of last week, and saw no action as his new squad looked as hapless on offense as his old one in a 27-6 loss to the lowly Bills.
His team — and more importantly, the offense — responded Thursday on short rest against the Rams. Minnesota fell 38-31 in large part because Jared Goff looked like the second coming of Brady-Peyton-Aikman all rolled into one.
Bailey himself finally saw some action in the shootout as well. He finished 3-for-3 on the night and added two extra points for a 100 percent conversion rate, though he did have a dinger of a close call that bounced off the upright and fell through.

Bailey was cut by the Dallas Cowboys in a shocker that was largely seen as a cost-cutting move, but cutting the second most accurate kicker in NFL history was a controversial one at the time.
Bailey’s replacement in Dallas, Brett Maher, a 28-year-old rookie (!), has made four of his five attempts on the season in succeeding Bailey in Cowboyland.
