DE Jonathan Marshall: ‘Oklahoma State was the best fit’
Just over a year ago, Marshall made his verbal commitment to TCU the same day he received an offer from the Horned Frogs during a summer camp.
Ultimately, he felt most comfortable in Stillwater.
“Oklahoma State was the best fit,” Marshall told the Tulsa World. “No knock to TCU, they’re a good school,” he said. “But I just feel like I fit in better at Oklahoma State.”
Marshall is a swiss army knife for Shepherd High School. He plays defensive end, tight end, linebacker, and is one of the more versatile prospects in OSU’s recruiting class. He is also one of the most highly rated, according to recruiting rankings.

Marshall says he was recruited by Clements to play defensive end. Interestingly, he lines up primarily at the defensive tackle position. But it’s pretty clear that regardless where he lines up, he can get after the quarterback.
