Dez Bryant on College Football Hall of Fame Ballot

Former Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant is one of several household names featured on the 2026 College Football Hall of Fame Ballot this year.

Bryant’s standout season, the one that hinted at what he would become at the next level, came in 2008 when he caught 87 balls for 1,480 yards and 19 touchdowns. He also returned two punts for touchdowns on only 20 attempts.

If not for an NCAA suspension three games into his junior season, Bryant might have cemented his place as not just an Oklahoma State great, but one of the all-time collegiate receivers.

Despite hauling in a catch in only 25 career games, Bryant still ranks fifth all-time at OSU with 29 touchdown receptions and ninth in receiving yards with 2,425.

He’s also second all-time, averaging 19.6 yards per punt return (behind only Darrent Williams) and sits in a three-way tie for most punt return touchdowns with three alongside both Williams and Barry Sanders.

Justin Blackmon’s 20-touchdown season in 2010 is the only thing keeping Bryant from the program’s single-season touchdown reception record.

If Bryant is voted into the College Football Hall of Fame, he’d be the ninth person will OSU ties to enter the hall. He’s join Lynn “Pappy” Waldorf, Bob Fenimore, Barry Sanders, Thurman Thomas, Jimmy Johnson, Leslie O’Neal, Terry Miller and Justin Blackmon.
