Dez Bryant to Work Out for Baltimore Ravens as 2020 Season Approaches
Could Dez join Justice and the reigning MVP?
Dez Bryant could make a triumphant return to the NFL and do so alongside the league’s reigning MVP.
Bryant is set to work out with the Baltimore Ravens later this week, according to NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero. Bryant hasn’t played in an NFL game since 2017, his last season with the Dallas Cowboys. He signed with the New Orleans Saints in 2018 but tore his Achilles before he was able to take the field.
If healthy, Bryant would be a good fit on nearly any NFL team, but he would particularly be a nice fit with the Ravens and all their offensive weapons. Baltimore has the best dual-threat quarterback the league has seen since Michael Vick in Lamar Jackson.
Jackson is joined in the backfield with a good stable of running backs in Mark Ingram, J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards and former Oklahoma State great Justice Hill.
Receiver is the one skill position the Ravens could shore up. Marquise Brown had an excellent rookie year, catching 46 passes for for 584 yards and seven touchdowns, but at just 5-foot-9, Brown brings something different than Bryant would.
Bryant has had six NFL seasons of at least 750 receiving yards in his eight-year career.
In 28 games at Oklahoma State, Bryant caught 147 balls for 2,425 yards and 29 touchdowns.
