Doug Gottlieb Says He Does Not Want Assistant Job at Oklahoma State
One of the biggest questions folks have had since the Brad Underwood news broke is whether Doug Gottlib would be interested in being an assistant for the head man. That seems like a bad idea to me.
Gottlieb agrees. Here’s the O’Colly:
Gottlieb said he wouldn’t want to take a position as an assistant on Underwood’s staff. He compared the situation to a hypothetical post-Bachelorette sequence where the runner-up becomes roommates with the winner.
“I don’t think Brad takes the job, and people say ‘Hey, you should hire this guy,’” Gottlieb told the O’Colly. “That’s not really the way it should work, nor would I want it to be the way I get hired. I wouldn’t want somebody to just put me on staff because, well, ‘He’s the guy who played here.’”
I think this is probably a correct way to put it.
@KOCOKeating @BHollandSports I would say zero. Doubt Underwood would want a backup QB on his bench. We all know the backup QB is most pop
