What An Early Decision from Trae Young Could Mean for OSU
Entering his senior season, Norman North point guard Trae Young was expected to skip the early signing period and make his college decision in April. However according to multiple reports on Thursday, there seems to have potentially been a change in plans on his timetable, with a decision possibly coming in the early signing period next week. “It’s up in the air,” he told ESPN’s Jeff Borzello.
Although original plan was to decide late, I'm hearing there's a possibility that Trae Young could commit during the early period.

The early signing period begins next Wednesday, Nov. 9, and extends a week through Nov. 16.
The schools that remain in the mix include Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Kentucky, Texas Tech and Washington. However although Washington has not been eliminated, they are the only school of the six that did not receive an official visit.
With Oklahoma State receiving the final official visit this past weekend, an early decision could signal that he has already made up his mind on his landing spot, which is especially interesting that the news of a potential early signing has emerged just after his visit.
Kansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma are the schools that many believe are serious contenders; Kentucky is the sexy pick among 247sports recruiting analysts.
Young originally seemed intent to sign late, so he could get a chance to see the teams play this season and get a feel for how he would fit, and how the teams he is choosing between plays. But with a decision possibly coming next week, it could signal that he already knows the style of play and what he could be getting into like a situation in Kentucky or Kansas, or could mean that he doesn’t need to see OSU play perhaps because the coaching staff sold him on a vision and how they would utilize him.
Of course, an early decision is still up in the air, but it will be very interesting to see whether or not he opts to lock up his decision or if he sticks with his original plan to sign in April.
