After a season (and a Super Bowl ring to show for it) with the Kansas City Chiefs, Emmanuel Ogbah is headed to South Beach.

Ogbah has agreed to sign a two-year $15-million deal with the Miami Dolphins, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The deal includes $7.5 million fully guaranteed.

Although successful in terms of forever being called a Super Bowl champion, Ogbah spent much of the back half of last season injured, as he had surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle. It’s a shame, too, because Ogbah was on pace for his best year as a pro pass rusher.

In his 10 games played in 2019, Ogbah racked up 5.5 sacks. That ties the most he has had in a season with his rookie year where he started all 16 games.

The Cleveland Browns took Ogbah in the second round of the 2016 NFL draft. He spent three seasons with the franchise where he started all 40 games he played in. As a Brown, he had 122 total tackles, 16 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks.

Ogbah has played in 50 games in his four-year NFL career. In that span, he has 154 total tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 18 sacks, three forced fumbles and a pair of fumble recoveries.

His collegiate accolades are scattered throughout Oklahoma State’s record book. His 5.5 tackles for loss against Kansas as a sophomore is the single-game best in program history. He had 13 sacks as a junior in Stillwater, the third-most in a season in program history. His 28 career sacks is fourth-best of any Cowboy.

Ogbah has made over $6.6 million in his career but will more than double that over the next two seasons with Miami.
