ESPN’s College GameDay crew has was split on the Cowboys when they hosted Texas last week, but it was much more bullish on the Pokes for their road trip to Manhattan.

All members of the ESPN crew and celebrity guest picker, Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver Chase Claypool, picked Oklahoma State.

“Yeah, so I don’t know a whole lot about Oklahoma State but I know that they produce some stud receivers with my former teammate, or my teammate right now, James Washington, [?] and the stud they have right now Tylan Wallace,” said Claypool. “So with that being said I’m going Oklahoma State.”

Desmond Howard was happy to oblige the uneducated guest picker.

“Hey Chase, let me help you out. They got this quarterback by the name of Spencer Sanders. I think he’s completing 70 percent of his throws [nailed it]. I’m going with the Cowboys, David.”

But David Pollack had to go there.

“The only thing about Spencer is he throws to the other team a little bit.,” said Pollack. He can’t do that today. And I tell you what, Oklahoma State’s defense is really, really banged up missing a couple guys.

“So I think it will be a little bit closer than we would have thought it would have been, but I do think Oklahoma State’s too good.”

Kirk Herbstreit rounded out Claypool’s lesson by mentioning Chuba Hubbard as the third part of that three-headed monster. He picked the Cowboys as did Lee Corso in a close one.
