North Texas’ leading tackler from a season ago will join his coaches and teammates in Stillwater.

A 6-foot-1, 234-pound linebacker, Ethan Wesloski committed to Oklahoma State on Tuesday, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. As a redshirt junior in 2025, Wesloski led UNT with 113 tackles, which included nine tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He also intercepted a pass, forced three fumbles and had a fumble recovery for a touchdown. Wesloski should have one season of eligibility remaining.

He was PFF’s third highest-graded linebacker this past season, with a grade of 91.5. Wesloski is the No. 414 player in On3’s portal rankings, making him the No. 35 linebacker available.

He had been at UNT for his entire college career. Wesloski got to Denton in 2022 — the year before Eric Morris — where he redshirted while playing in two games.

Wesloski played in 12 games and made 11 starts as a redshirt freshman in Morris’ first season. He finished the year with 63 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and three sacks.

Wesloski followed that up by making 10 starts and playing in all of UNT’s games in 2024, where he made 57 tackles, five tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.

So, across the past three seasons, Wesloski has totaled 233 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks.

He hails from McKinney Boyd High School in Texas, finishing his senior season with 146 tackles, 17 sacks and 42 tackles for loss. He was a three-star HS prospect in the 2022 class, picking UNT over offers from Navy, Air Force and others.

Wesloski is actually the first linebacker the Cowboys have landed via the portal to this point. He becomes the 15th player to transfer to OSU from North Texas.
