First Look at Former Baylor Signee in OSU Uniform
Oklahoma State recruiting got a huge boost recently when DeQuinton Osborne, a former Baylor signee, verbally committed to OSU.
Osborne, who was an All-American defensive tackle last year for Kilgore Junior College, is listed at 6-foot, 310-pounds and used his big frame to translate it into major production last season with 61 tackles and 17 tackles for loss.
Because he was released from his LOI to Baylor, Osborne is eligible to play for the Cowboys in 2016 and will join the football program in the first week of July. With his experience and proven production, albeit against lesser competition, I think Osborne has a real shot to work into the rotation at defensive line that returns starters Vincent Taylor and Mote Maile from a year ago. The defensive tackle position is stacked with young up-and-coming talent, and I think given Osborne’s proven track record he could work his way into the rotation and see some meaningful playing time his first year in Stillwater.
