Five-star Guard Sexton Making Official Visit for Pitt Game
Five-star combo guard Collin Sexton is set to make an official visit to Oklahoma State this weekend, he said in an interview with Scout.com on Monday.
Sexton is the No. 10 prospect in the 2017 class in ESPN rankings, and ranked No. 9 by Scout. He visited Oklahoma State earlier this spring shortly after Brad Underwood was hired as the head coach.
Sexton brings a versatility to the guard position with his ability to not only handle the ball well but is regarded by many as one of the top shooters in the country. The 6-foot-3 sharpshooter has made official visits to Alabama and NC State, and will visit OSU this weekend capped by a trip to Lawrence, Kansas on September 30.
Despite being what people would term a “blue-chip” prospect, Sexton is seen as a heavy Alabama lean, thanks in large part to Avery Johnson and the Crimson Tide’s pursuit of him before he blew up on the recruiting trail in 16U play.
As for a decision, Sexton is said to be targeting a final decision by November. Perhaps Oklahoma State can leave an impression with a win over Pitt while he’s on campus.
