Football Recruiting: Updated List of Visitors

Published

on

The first home game of the season means many of Oklahoma State’s top football prospects will be on campus for visits over the weekend. Even some basketball recruits plan to make a visit. So far, here are the football recruits expected to be in town for the game this weekend.

(Note: Updated 11:40am Saturday morning)

Nick Starkel, 2016 Quarterback

Starkel has risen to fame in the Cowboy circles after trolling OU this past weekend. He announced on his twitter page that he is making the trip down this weekend.

This is an unofficial visit for the four-star prospect from Argyle, Tex. He wasn’t able to make it to Stillwater for the spring game due to prom, so this will be the first time to see his squad up close and personal since his commitment to the Cowboys.

Jalen Hurt, 2017 Wide receiver / cornerback

Hurt is joining Starkel in his trip to Stillwater. He is a 2017 prospect with no offers from Argyle, Tex. He may not be on OSU’s radar yet, but perhaps Starkel will try to convince the staff they should think otherwise.

Blake Williams, 2016 Tight End

Williams is an under the radar prospect from Mustang, Okla. (Home of THE David Glidden!). According to Rivals, he has one offer from North Carolina, but at 6’4, 225 he could see his offer list expand soon. The coaching staff has already extended several offers to fill the “cowboyback” position, so I would imagine they wait before extending an offer. But he is a guy to keep on the radar potentially down the road.

Andre Harris Jr., 2017 Offensive Lineman

According to Rivals, Harris is a 6’5, 300 pound prospect from Putnam City North in Oklahoma City. He is unranked for now, but with that frame, that could potentially change after this season. Especially just being a junior. He is making an unofficial trip to Stillwater this weekend.

Creed Humphrey, 2017 Offensive Lineman

I have a pretty good feeling this kids recruitment will take off shortly. He is a prototypical center with an excellent frame – 6’4, 301 pounds. He is a local prospect from Shawnee, Okla. making an unofficial visit to campus this weekend.

Brey Walker, 2018 Offensive Lineman

Walker is an absolute mauler who OSU extended an offer to as a freshman. Walker is a five-star prospect from in-state Southmoore High School. He is a 6’6, 300-pound offensive tackle who is a four-star prospect ranked by Scout and Rivals. Being only a sophomore, he is already the same size or bigger than some of the guys on the Oklahoma State roster. He is a big target for the Cowboys moving forward.

Baron Odom, 2017 Tight End

Odom is a Wynnewood, Okla. native who is a 6’4, 210 prospect. The Cowboys have had good success recruiting in-state recently, so Odom is another name to keep an eye on.
