Former Cowgirl Chase Jackson Wins U.S. Championship to Qualify for Olympics in Shot Put
It will be Jackson’s first Olympics.
Chase Jackson continues to stay on top of the world.
Jackson, who was part of the track & field team at Oklahoma State in 2013-16, qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games after winning the United States championship in Shot Put at the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials on Saturday night.

Jackson won and puncher her ticket to Paris with a throw of 20.10 meters, which was only .02 meters short of the U.S. Olympic Trials record.

Jackson is the defending back-to-back Shot Put Outdoor World Champion. She became the first American woman to ever win a world championship in the Shot Put in 2022 when she won her first gold medal. She also holds the American record in the event.
Despite all that international success, this will be Jackson’s first Olympic games. Competition for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games start on July 24, with opening ceremonies on July 26. Track & field events start Aug. 1 and conclude on Aug.11, the final day of the event.
So far, OSU will also have four representatives in men’s golf at this Olympics.
