Former OSU Golfer Wyndham Clark Secures First PGA Tour Win at Wells Fargo Championship
Clark brought in nearly $4 million in a big win over the weekend.

Former OSU golfer Wyndham Clark secured his first career win on the PGA Tour on Sunday as he took home the title at the Wells Fargo Championship, outlasting Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Sungjae Im and others in a comfortable four-stroke victory.
Clark, who turned pro in 2017, had not won on Tour but has had one of his best seasons to date in 2023, culminating with the win, which also netted him $3.6 million in cold hard cash. [Extreme dad joke voice: Wyndham Clark? Yeah, more like Winned Because He’s Him Clark! Am I right?]
Clark posted an 8-under 63 in Round 3 on Saturday to grab a lead entering the final round and followed it up with a steady 3-under 68 to finish things off, marking the second-best round among all golfers who finished inside the top 10. He needed only to avoid disaster on No. 18 to secure the win and did exactly that, pouring in an easy bogey to finish with a four-stroke lead.
“It took a lot [of mental fortitude]. It’s been a long five years to get to this point on Tour. I thought I would get [a win] earlier, but it was well worth the wait,” said Clark post-round on CBS. “To get to this point in the journey is so sweet. It’s amazing to finally do this.”
