Former OSU Quarterback Spencer Sanders Declared Ineligible for Ole Miss’ Peach Bowl
Sanders is top three in OSU’s history in passing, passing TDs, completions, total offense and touchdowns responsible for.
A year ago, Oklahoma State’s football program endured a mass exodus via the transfer portal, but no single exit was bigger than four-year starting QB Spencer Sanders. Now, prior to a potential swan song in a New Year’s Six bowl, his college career has come to an unceremonious end.
Sanders has been ruled academically ineligible to take part in Mississippi’s Peach Bowl matchup with Penn State, according to multiple reports. Ole Miss starter Jaxson Dart is expected to be available for the bowl game.

Sanders moved from Stillwater to Oxford, landing in a deep Ole Miss quarterback room but was in stiff competition with Jaxson Dart all the way up the Rebels’ season opener. Ultimately, he came off the bench, throwing for less than 300 yards in nine games.
In four seasons at Oklahoma State, Sanders threw for 9,553 yards and 67 touchdowns and went 30-11 as a starter, second only to Mason Rudolph in wins. He currently sits in the top three in program history in passing, passing TDs, completions, total offense and touchdowns responsible for.
