Four-Star 2018 Wing to Visit Oklahoma State

With football season about to kick-off it can be easy to forget about basketball. Despite our focus on Boone Pickens Stadium, Mike Boynton and Co. are busy working to land their 2018 class.

While they don’t have a commit for the class as of yet, they are in the running for some talented players. That includes four-star small forward Landers Nolley.

Nolley announced on twitter that he would be making visits to five teams including Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Illinois, and Connecticut.

The 6-foot-4, 175-pound wings plays both small forward and shooting guard, and is currently ranked as the fourth-best player in the state of Georgia. As a junior at Langston Hughes High last season, he averaged24.7 points a game in route to the Georgia State Championship Game. At least one analyst is comparing his game to Phoenix Sun Devin Booker.

Nolley currently holds offers from at least 16 teams including OSU, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Penn State, Georgia, Illinois, Wichita State, and Virginia Tech among others. He doesn’t currently hold an offer from Connecticut, despite his plans to visit the school.

An exact date for Nolley stop in Stillwater isn’t set, though based on the dates set for his other visits, I would expect it to come sometime in Septemeber or October.

Nolley is also expected to announce his top eight schools soon (He’s been narrowing down his list in a clever ‘March Madness bracket’ format on his twitter account). I would expect, especially if the visit goes well, to see OSU moving on to the next round.
