The Cowboys are in the running for one of the top uncommitted basketball prospects left in the 2023 class.

Eric Dailey, a 6-foot-7 forward at IMG Academy in Florida, will choose among Oklahoma State, Memphis and going pro on Wednesday, according to 247Sports’ Adam Finkelstein. Dailey is the No. 52 player in the 2023 class, making him the second-highest rated prospect who isn’t committed to a school behind only Bronny James (LeBron James’ son).

Dailey took an official visit to Stillwater in early November. He dropped a career-high 41 points on Sunday with Oklahoma State coaches in attendance.

There are further links between Dailey and OSU. Dailey played on Team USA’s U18 squad this summer as the Americans won gold at the FIBA Americas Championship. He was on that team with OSU signee Brandon Garrison, and OSU coach Mike Boynton was an assistant for that team. At that tournament, Dailey averaged 9.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists.

On the Nike EYBL circuit this summer, Dailey averaged 13.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists a game while shooting 44% from the field and 37% from 3-point range for the Georgia Stars.

Boynton’s 2023 class ranks 14th nationally as things stand with four signees: Garrison, Justin McBride, Jamyron Keller and Connor Dow. If Dailey were to join the Pokes’ class, it would jump to the No. 10 class in the country, which would rank second in the Big 12.
