Another four-star basketball prospect wants to get a closer look at what’s going on in Stillwater.

Willie Burnett III, a 6-foot-5 guard in the 2026 class, scheduled an official visit to Oklahoma State for Sept. 26 (the weekend of the Baylor football game), according to 247Sports’ Eric Bossi. Burnett also scheduled a visit to Mississippi State for Sept. 5.

Burnett is the No. 91 player in the 2026 recruiting class, according to the On3/Rivals Industry Ranking. That ranking lists him as the No. 6 player from Virginia for the cycle.

He announced his OSU offer on July 21, with OSU joining the likes of Florida State, Arkansas State, George Mason and others that have offered Burnett.

He played at West Oaks Academy in Orlando as a high school junior. According to MaxPreps, Burnett averaged 23.3 points this past season, including a 41-point night against Balboa in February. He’s set to play at Gillion Academy in Virginia as a senior.

It’s shaping up to be a busy fall on the recruiting trail for Steve Lutz and Co. Burnett joins the likes of Neiko Mundey, Cameron Lomax, Aidan Chronister, Jalen Montonati and others who have set up official visits through September and October.
