One of the top players in the state is in Stillwater on Wednesday for an unofficial visit.

Kaydin Jones, a four-star running back from Jenks, announced via X that he’s at OSU. He’s the No. 321 player in the 2026 class, according to On3’s industry ranking. That particular ranking pins him as the No. 23 running back and the No. 3 player from Oklahoma in the class.

Listed at 6-feet, 185 pounds, Jones ran for 1,483 yards and 17 touchdowns in his junior season, scoring 21 total TDs. He ran for 1,258 yards and 15 scores as a sophomore with 2,205 all-purpose yards, and Jones ran for 1,264 yards as a freshman at Broken Arrow. Basically, he’s been uber productive from the start of his high school career.

Jones has been on a string of unofficials of late, sharing photos from Louisville and Kansas last week. He also has official visits schedule to OSU (April 25-27), Kansas (June 6-8), Louisville (June 13-15) and OU (June 20-22). But his recruitment might not last much longer, as Jones tweeted Sunday that a commitment is “coming soon.” He has also announced offers to the likes of Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas State, Wisconsin, Miami, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and others.

Jones’ father is Kejuan Jones, who played at OU in the early 2000s, running for 2,331 yards and 36 touchdowns in his Sooner career.

It looks as if OSU’s new staff is prioritizing Jones quite heavily. On Jan. 22, Jones put out a top five of OU, Kansas, Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Louisville, but OSU coach Mike Gundy was up at Jenks less than a week later posing for a photo with Jones. Then a month ago Jones announced he had locked in an official visit. His official visit announcement was complete with a batman-themed graphic. Batman is his nickname. Many OSU assistant coaches have tweeted out literal bat symbols.

The Cowboys have two commitments in their 2026 class with a third on the way if you’re going by Kenyatta Wright, OSU’s director of football business, Michael Jordan gifs (welcome to 2025). Three-star edge rusher Jaylen Stewart was the Cowboys’ first pledge in the class, picking OSU over offers from Baylor, Auburn, Arizona State, SMU and others. In-state offensive lineman Aiden Martin committed on Monday over offers from Arkansas, Kansas, Baylor, Kansas State, Texas Tech and others.
