Four-Star Linebacker DaQuives Beck Includes Oklahoma State in Top 3
Beck is a Top 10 linebacker in the 2026 class.
The Cowboys are competing with a pair of SEC programs for one of the top linebackers in the 2026 recruiting class.
DaQuives Beck trimmed his list down to three this past weekend, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett: Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Beck is a consensus four-star prospect, ranking as highly as the No. 153 overall player (On3) and the No. 9 linebacker (On3 and 247Sports) in the 2026 cycle.
Listed at 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, Beck hails from Carthage, Texas — a town of about 6,500 near the Louisiana border.
After being offered by the previous staff back in October, Beck took an official visit to Stillwater in early April. He has a visit scheduled to College Station later this month. Along with his finalists, Beck also held offers from Texas, Tennessee, USC, Oregon, Arkansas, Ole Miss and others.
Carthage went 15-1 in Beck’s junior season. The Bulldogs’ only loss came in their season opener before rattling off 15 straight and winning a Texas 4A-DII state title. Beck recorded 102 tackles, 21 tackles for loss and six sacks as a junior. He also had three pass breakups and returned a fumble 79 yards for a touchdown.
He was named Defensive MVP in the Bulldogs state title win, recording 10 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack.
When you think linebacker, you don’t often think track star, but Beck has also recorded an 11.93 100-meter dash, according to MileSplit. That speed is evident on his highlights, as Beck isn’t afraid to open it up and run down a ball carrier on the opposite sideline.
