Four-star Safety Names OSU in Top 7
Four-star standout Montaric Brown of Ashdown, Ark., released his top 7 schools on Tuesday afternoon. And, as I hinted at in yesterdays Reload, Oklahoma State has made the cut. Along with the Cowboys, he also included Alabama, LSU, OU, Arkansas, Baylor, and Auburn. All of his list are schools who have extended offers.

Safeties coach Dan Hammerschmidt was in Ashdown on Monday making his rounds and stopped by to see Brown, who is a top priority in the 2017 class. The Cowboys do hold one verbal pledge at safety in Ty Thomas, who was the first commitment of the class. But with Jordan Sterns and Derrick Moncrief – two safeties who will play integral roles in 2016 – completing their eligibility this season, safety is a major priority in this class. And Brown, a 6-1 standout and highly touted prospect, would be a major addition to the 2017 class that is already gaining notoriety nationally with the level of talent it has accumulated to this point.
