Freshman Tracker: Tylan Wallace Doubles Season Production Against Iowa State
Just when we all thought the freshman tracker had turned into an altar at the feet of J.D. King, freshman wideout Tylan Wallace burst onto the scene in Ames with three drive-saving third down catches.
Wallace finished with the three receptions — doubling his catch count on the season and adding 49 yards to put him over the century mark on the season, with more playing time likely coming his way.
“We need to play him more,” Mike Gundy admitted after the game Saturday. “Yurcich and Dunn must have lost a bet or something because I don’t know why he’s not in the game more … I do know why, because 28’s in the game. When he’s in the game and we’ve thrown it to him, he’s made plays.”

Here’s an updated look at the season statistics for the true freshmen through 10 games.
