Friday Night Highlights: Fields Averaging 12.4 Yards a Carry, Nnodim Up to Six Sacks Already

Oklahoma State football commits went 11-1 this weekend.

Here are quick rundowns of how each Poke pledge preformed with stats and highlights provided if available.

Rodney Fields / RB / Del City (2-0) / Oklahoma

Rodney Fields is off to a dominant start to his senior season.

With Mike Gundy in attendance, Fields and his Del City Eagles beat Booker T. Washington 48-0 this weekend where Fields ran for 107 yards and two touchdowns on just nine carries. He also caught three passes for 59 yards.

Two games into his senior year, Fields has 21 carries for 260 yards (12.4 yards per carry) and five touchdowns.

Del City hosts Midwest City this weekend.


Armstrong Nnodim / DL / Horn (2-0) / Texas

Armstrong Nnodim is up to six sacks in two games after recording a pair in Horn’s 38-13 win against Bowie this weekend.

Nnodim was credited with seven tackles, including four tackles for loss and the two sacks.

Horn plays at Tyler on Friday.


Temerrick Johnson / Edge / Midlothian Heritage (2-0) / Texas

Temerrick Johnson’s Midlothian Heritage Jaguars are 2-0 after storming past Cleburne 63-7 this weekend.

Johnson was credited with a pair of tackles, including a bone-crunching sack.

Heritage will look to start 3-0 with an away game at La Vega on Friday.


Luke Webb / DL / Deer Park (2-0) / Texas

Luke Webb and Deer Park are 2-0 after beating Clear Creek 48-14 this past weekend.

MaxPreps didn’t have stats listed for Deer Park, but Webb’s highlights show him being his normal, disruptive self in the middle of Deer Park’s defensive line.

Deer Park plays at West Brook on Friday.


David Kabongo / S / Byron Nelson (2-0) / Texas

David Kabongo’s defense nearly pitched a shutout this past weekend, as Byron Nelson beat Boyd 62-3.

MaxPreps didn’t have stats, but Kabongo’s highlights show him all over the field and include him throwing a nice block on one of his teammate’s interception returns.

Byron Nelson hosts Braswell on Friday.


Jonathan Agumadu / LB / McKinney (2-0) / Texas

Jonathan Agumadu and McKinney keep their unbeaten start going — toppling Berkner 35-14 on Friday.

Agumadu recorded five tackles, including half of a sack.

McKinney hosts Flower Mound on Friday.


Landyn Cleveland / S / Mansfield Legacy (0-2) / Texas

Landyn Cleveland’s Mansfield Legacy squad is still in search of its first win of the year after falling to Crowley 29-3 this past weekend.

Defensive stats weren’t yet listed on MaxPreps for the game.

Legacy plays at Wilson this weekend.


Tre Griffiths / WR / Keller (2-0) / Texas

Tre Griffiths caught a pair of passes for 63 yards in Keller’s 46-0 win against Plano West.

On the year now, Griffiths has six catches for 117 yards (19.5 yards per catch) and one touchdown.

Keller hosts Odessa this weekend.


Caleb Hackleman / OL / Pleasant Grove (2-0) / Texas

Caleb Hackleman’s Pleasant Grove Hawks are 2-0 after a 27-10 win over Byrd.

The Hawks outscored Byrd 27-0 in the first half.

Pleasant Grove plays Midland Christian on Saturday.


Gunnar Wilson / LB / Melissa (2-0) / Texas

In two games this season, Gunnar Wilson’s Melissa Cardinals are outscoring opponents 113-47.

Melissa beat China Spring 63-33 this past weekend. Stats aren’t up on MaxPreps for the game.

Melissa hosts Royse City this weekend.


Chauncey Johnson / OL / Lonoke (1-1) / Arkansas

Chauncey Johnson and Lonoke got in the win column with a 37-0 win against Melbourne.

Johnson’s Jackrabbits ran for 218 yards on 9.9 yards per carry. Johnson was also credited with three tackles as a defender.

Lonoke hosts Forrest City on Friday.


Willie Nelson / DB / Longview (1-1) / Texas

After a tight loss to McKinney in Week 1, Willie Nelson’s Longview Lobos responded in a big way this past weekend, clobbering Marshall 48-7.

I didn’t see Nelson credited with any stats on MaxPreps.

Longview plays Tyler Legacy this weekend.


Josh Ford / TE / Stillwater (0-1) / Oklahoma

After playing a Week 0 game, Josh Ford and the Stillwater Pioneers had the week off. Stillwater plays at Yukon on Friday.
