High school football kicked off in the surrounding area this past weekend, and every Oklahoma State commit had a game.

Here are quick rundowns of how each Poke pledge performed with highlights and stats included if available.

Rodney Fields / RB / Del City (1-0) / Oklahoma

A horrible incident took place at Del City’s season-opening game against Choctaw, as a 16-year-old boy was shot and killed.

The game was suspended with Del City in the third quarter, and Oklahoma State running back commit Rodney Fields had ran for 153 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. But the game wasn’t what was important at the end of the night.

Landyn Cleveland / S / Mansfield Legacy (0-1) / Texas

Landyn Cleveland’s senior season kicked off this past weekend with a game against Richland, falling 23-21.

Caleb Hackleman / OL / Pleasant Grove (1-0) / Texas

Caleb Hackleman’s Pleasant Grove Hawks grinded out a 10-7 win to start the 2023 season 1-0.

Pleasant Grove hosts Louisiana’s Byrd High School on Friday.

Luke Webb / DL / Deer Park (1-0) / Texas

Luke Webb was a menace in Deer Park’s 41-20 season-opening win against La Porte.
