Friday Night Highlights: Oklahoma State’s 2027 Recruiting Class Starts Senior Seasons
All but one of OSU’s 2027 commits have started their senior seasons.
Most of the college football world gets going this weekend, but a lot of high schools around the country are already rolling.
Here are quick recaps of the starts to the season for each member of Oklahoma State’s 2027 recruiting class, with stats and highlights included when available.
Ake O’Neal / WR / Argyle (0-1) / Texas
Ake O’Neal’s Argyle Eagles fell to Oak Ridge (California) 27-26 to start the year, but it was a solid senior debut for the OSU commit.
Per MaxPreps, O’Neal caught five passes for 62 yards and this nice touchdown grab on a goal-line fade.
Argyle is the No. 2 tam in Dave Campbell’s rankings for Texas’ 5A D-II.
O’Neal and the Eagles will play at Terrell (1-0) on Friday.
Jake Baker / OL / Ensworth (2-0) / Tennessee
Jake Baker’s senior season is off to a 2-0 start with wins against Whitehaven and Nashville Christian.
Baker put together a highlight reel from both wins.
The Ensworth Tigers will look to continue their unbeaten start with a game against Braircrest Christian (2-0) this weekend.
Carson White / QB / Hightower (0-1) / Texas
OSU quarterback commit Carson White got his senior season started against the highly touted Cypress Ranch Mustangs and lost 24-7.
Cypress Ranch checked in at No. 21 in Dave Campbell’s Texas 6A rankings.

Hightower will travel to Cypress Springs (0-1) this weekend.
Cooper Hooker / WR / Pryor (1-0) / Oklahoma
Cooper Hooker’s Pryor Tigers crossed state lines into Arkansas to start the season, and the Tigers thumped Siloam Springs 56-10.
MaxPreps didn’t have stats for the Tigers, but the game was streamed on YouTube if you’d like to check it out. Pryor’s first play from scrimmage was a reverse to Hooker for a nice gain, and he’d go on to to score a touchdown and be fed pretty regularly throughout the first half. Hooker didn’t play much in the second because the score was so out of hand.
He and Pryor will return within the state’s borders and host Coweta (1-0) on Friday.
Sonny Mullen / OL / Troy (1-0) / Texas
Sonny Mullen’s Troy Trojans were in quite the shootout with Salado, with Troy taking the opener 63-50.
Troy threw for 103 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 191 yards and four more scores in the game. Mullen was credited with six pancake blocks.
Troy gets Mexia (1-0) this weekend.
Bryson Brown / DB / Broken Arrow (1-0) / Oklahoma
Bryson Brown’s senior year got going with a 34-7 victory against Har-Ber (Arkansas).
Brown made three tackles, per MaxPreps.
The Tigers travel to Union (0-1) this weekend.
Chayce Davis / DB / Trinity (1-0) / Texas
Chayce Davis opened his senior season with a 28-17 win against Berkner.
Defensive stats weren’t available on MaxPreps, but Davis was credited with a 26-yard reception.
Odaefe Oruru / OL / Jenks (0-1) / Oklahoma
There were a ridiculous amount of people tuned into the stream of Jenks’ season opener against Texas power Southlake Carroll down in the Cotton Bowl last weekend.
Jenks built a nice lead, but the Dragons were able to run the Trojans down and take the game 34-33.
Oruru’s Trojans head to a different state this weekend, as they’ll play Rodgers (Arkansas).
Israel Hammons / LB / Choctaw (0-1) / Oklahoma
Choctaw started its year with a 27-7 loss against Mustang.
The Yellowjackets host Moore (1-0) this weekend.
TJ Lewis / RB / Bolingbrook (1-1) / Illinois
OSU running back pledge TJ Lewis is already two games into his senior season. After falling to Homewood-Flossmoor in Game 1, Lewis’ Bolingbrook Raiders responded with a 37-6 win against Simeon this weekend.
Boling brook will play at Yorkville (2-0) on Friday.
Talan Scott / TE / ALA-Queen Creek (0-1) / Arizona
Talan Scott’s American Leadership Academy-Queen Creek Patriots fell to Centennial 44-10 to start the year. There were no stats on MaxPreps.

Vessell gets his season started this week against Georgia’s Carrollton.
Carrollton is 2-0 already this season, having outscored foes a combined 116-13.
