Game Thread: Join Us to Chat About Oklahoma State-Texas Tech

No. 15 Oklahoma State is squaring off with Texas Tech in Lubbock on Saturday evening, and we’re her to chat about it. One interesting note in the pregame from the FOX broadcast: There have been 80 combined points in each of the last five games between these two teams. Insane.

We will update this space as the game wears on.

Q1 — Game Tied 7-7

What a seed. Pokes are up 7-0.

Rudolph has now thrown a TD to both teams — tied at 7.

If you want a recap of the first quarter, here it is. The game is somehow tied at 7 even though the Cowboys got inside Tech’s 20 three times, and Tech got past its own 35 just once. That’s how you lose conference games as a favorite on the road.

Q2 — OSU up 21-17

Oklahoma State scored a pair of TDs as Mason Rudolph put up a 18/22 for 252 yards and 3 TD line in the first half. OSU has 343 yards, and Texas Tech has just 172 thus far. The O-State defense had a nice stand at the end of the half to keep the game from being tied going into the third quarter. Adrian Baker got a hand on this pass to keep the Pokes up 4.

Q3 — Oklahoma State Leads 34-20

The Cowboys put up a TD and two FGs and held Tech to just a FG, though the Red Raiders are knocking on the door at OSU’s 1-yard-line. The biggest turning point of the third quarter was Devin Harper’s big punt block which led to a short Matt Ammendola FG.

Here’s a look at the only TD of the quarter with Mason looking like J.W.

Q4 — Oklahoma State wins 41-34

I have no idea how, but I know it involved a grown-ass man catch from Marcell Ateman and another rushing TD from Mason Rudolph. On to the bye week.
