Georgia State Running Back Transfer Freddie Brock Announce OSU Offer, Sets Stillwater Visit
Brock has one of the Top 10 bowl performances in CFB history.
The Cowboys are looking to add even more talent to a deep running back group.
Former Georgia State running back Freddie Brock announced an Oklahoma State offer on Monday and will make his visit to Stillwater next week, according t0 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz.

Brock is a 5-foot-10, 190-pound running back with tons of experience, and he’s a proven big-play threat.
He announced he was entering the transfer portal March 4 as a graduate transfer and has since announced offers from the likes of UTEP, Temple, UMass and Sam Houston. The Cowboys represent his first P4 offer.
If Brock lands in the Power conference, he will have taken quite the circuitous route. He was the No. 18 high school player from the state of New York, per 247Sports, before spending his first two years at FCS school Maine where he rushed for 1,145 yards in 25 games and earned all-conference honors his final year. From there, Brock transferred to Georgia State and served in a reserve role for all of 2023 before exploding in the bowl game.
After totaling just six carries for 31 yards in the regular season, Brock racked up 276 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers’ 45-22 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl win over Utah State. He took his second carry 60 yards, and he averaged 11.5 yards per in what went down as a Top 10 bowl performance in college football history. Needless to say, that earned him a starting role the next season in 2024. He totaled 819 yards and eight scores on the ground and 166 receiving yards and another score.
The Cowboys’ spring running back room has some depth to it with a nice mix of up-and-comers and seasoned backups, but Brock would be the most experienced and productive back they have if they can land him. He’s already proven he can adjust to the step up in competition from the FCS to DI, and thrive. If he could make similar progress at the P4 level, he’d be one heck of a grab for the Pokes.
