Greg Adkins on Offensive Line Depth: ‘Better than it has been’
The much maligned offensive line of recent years is, under the leadership of Greg Adkins, slowly developing at key positions for the Cowboys. It takes more than one recruiting class to overhaul a position group that was the weak link for two straight years, and suffered attrition at the coaching position.
In an interview Sunday after practice, Adkins broke down his thoughts on how the group is developing as a whole and spoke highly of several up-and-comers, noting that consistency is the main thing they seem to be focusing on:

He noted that the depth along the O-line is “better than it has been”, and that Marcus Keyes, a standout left tackle in the spring game, has moved to guard and that the coaches haven’t looked back since making that move last week. Keyes may help solidify one of the sore spots along the line and the redshirt sophomore could be in line to start at left guard, while junior college transfer Larry Williams may be locking down the right guard position.
Also of note, Adkins says that Michael Wilson, who saw time at guard last season, has been seeing some time at center too, where Brad Lundblade is expected to start. This could mean that Wilson, a starter from last season, could be one of several players who can provide legitimate quality depth on the offensive line — a luxury OSU has not been able to enjoy in recent years.
