Hauss Hejny Commits to Colorado State via the Transfer Portal
What could have been?
The newly constructed Pac-12 better look out because Hauss Hejny is a Ram.
Hejny, Oklahoma State’s 2025 starting quarterback, announced his commitment to Colorado State on Monday morning.
Hejny will be a big what-if in OSU football lore after he started the 2025 season with back-to-back touchdown drives before a Jones fracture put a very early end to his season.
In those three magical drives, Hejny completed five passes for 96 yards and a touchdown while running for another 27 yards and a score.
He got to OSU after redshirting at TCU in 2024. He still played in his allotted four games with the Horned Frogs, where he ran 15 times for 65 yards.
Hejny’s injury continued a rotating door of quarterbacks in Stillwater. No one QB has started every game in an OSU season since Taylor Cornelius in 2018. Cowboy fans will obviously be hoping that changes this year with the addition of five-star transfer Drew Mestemaker, who pledged to be a Poke on Saturday, following new OSU coach Eric Morris over from North Texas.
Hejny will be a part of a transition for Colorado State. The Rams are one of six schools set to join the Pac-12 this offseason. CSU is also going through a coaching change with former NFL head coach Jim Mora taking over after coaching at UConn for the past four seasons.
