Hoops Adds Wichita State, Arkansas to 2017-18 Schedule
Two opponents from last season’s Oklahoma State men’s basketball schedule have been added to the 2017-18 slate. Arkansas has been scheduled for the Cowboys as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge on Jan. 27. It will be the second straight year of the matchup. This one will be played at Arkansas.

The non-conference tilt made plenty of headlines last year. Phil Forte broke the school 3-point record, OSU won by 28 and extended its winning streak to three and Eddie Sutton, who coached both programs, was recognized in Gallagher-Iba Arena.

OSU has only lost once in Big 12/SEC Challenge history, and the Big 12 as a whole has dominated the series. The conference is 25-15 (.625) in the Challenge over the course of four years. Here are the other matchups this time around.

Wichita State is the second game added to Mike Boynton’s first schedule as coach Thursday, according to CBS’ Jon Rothstein.
Oklahoma State will host Wichita State on December 9th, 2017 in Stillwater, per a source. Return game of home-and-home series.

The Cowboys grabbed a nice win against the Shockers, too, last season. OSU won by 17 on the road and was the first non-conference team to win at Wichita State since 2008.
