Two opponents from last season’s Oklahoma State men’s basketball schedule have been added to the 2017-18 slate. Arkansas has been scheduled for the Cowboys as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge on Jan. 27. It will be the second straight year of the matchup. This one will be played at Arkansas.

The non-conference tilt made plenty of headlines last year. Phil Forte broke the school 3-point record, OSU won by 28 and extended its winning streak to three and Eddie Sutton, who coached both programs, was recognized in Gallagher-Iba Arena.

OSU has only lost once in Big 12/SEC Challenge history, and the Big 12 as a whole has dominated the series. The conference is 25-15 (.625) in the Challenge over the course of four years. Here are the other matchups this time around.

2018 Big 12/SEC Challenge
  • Baylor at Florida
  • Tennessee at Iowa State
  • Texas A&M at Kansas
  • Georgia at Kansas State
  • Oklahoma at Alabama
  • Oklahoma State at Arkansas
  • TCU at Vanderbilt
  • Mississippi at Texas
  • Texas Tech at South Carolina
  • Kentucky at West Virginia
Oklahoma State in the Big 12/SEC Challenge
  • 2017: OSU 99, Arkansas 71 (Stillwater, Okla.)
  • 2016: OSU 74, Auburn 63 (Auburn, Ala.)
  • 2015: South Carolina 74, OSU 49 (Columbia, S.C.)
  • 2014: OSU 79, South Carolina 52 (Stillwater, Okla.)

Wichita State is the second game added to Mike Boynton’s first schedule as coach Thursday, according to CBS’ Jon Rothstein.

The Cowboys grabbed a nice win against the Shockers, too, last season. OSU won by 17 on the road and was the first non-conference team to win at Wichita State since 2008.
