Important Recruiting Visitors Over the Weekend
Several prospects made the trip to Stillwater on Saturday to watch the Cowboys shellack the roadrunners at home. There’s a big list, but here are just a few key visitors and their status with the Pokes.
Justice Hill – Committed
Hill was the first prospect to commit in the 2016 recruiting class. He is a Booker T. Washington product and one of two running backs set to join the program next season.
Caden Sterns – Offered
Sterns is a 2018 wide receiver prospect and has already picked up an offer from the Pokes, thanks largely to a family connection to big brother Jordan. He’s a four-star prospect who also holds an offer from Texas Tech.
Isaiahh Loudermilk – Offered
Loudermilk is a 2016 defensive end prospect who at one point had the Cowboys in his top two along with Kansas State. The Cowboys already have Jonathan Marshall and Tramal Ivy committed in the 2016 class at defensive end, but Loudermilk would still be welcomed with open arms.
Shay Rodgers – Prospect Unoffered
Rodgers is a 6-5 tight end and 2017 prospect from Tatum, Texas. The coaching staff has already extended offers to three tight ends in the 2017 class, and Rodgers is on the radar as well. If the other prospects don’t pan out, I would expect the Cowboys to jump on him early. He has yet to receive a Div. 1 offer yet.
Thomas Dziagwa Committed
Dziagwa was a big-time visitor for the Cowboys, who committed to Travis Ford and Co. on Sunday. He is a combo-guard and a threat from anywhere on the court. With Forte and Newberry both graduating this year, he’ll have a chance to step in early.
