On a night where a team from Oklahoma and a team from Indiana are doing battle in the NBA Finals, Kenny Gajewski is bringing a former Hosier to Stillwater.

Melina Wilkison, an outfield transfer from Indiana, took to Instagram to announce her commitment to Oklahoma State. As a redshirt junior with the Hosiers last season, Wilkison hit .326 with 41 RBIs and seven home runs.

Wilkison and the Hosiers were at the Fayetteville Regional with the Cowgirls last month. In two games against OSU, Wilkison went 2-for-6 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Those three RBIs came off a home run.

Before spending the 2025 season in Bloomington, Wilkison spent three at Ohio State.

She earned a spot on the Big Ten All-Freshman team in 2022 after she started 45 games for the Buckeyes and hit .342 with 34 runs scored and 13 RBIs.

Wilkison followed that up by earning a spot on the All-Big Ten First Team as a sophomore in 2023 after starting all 53 of the Buckeyes’ games in right field. She hit .373 that year with 44 RBIs, 50 runs scored and 11 home runs.

She suffered a season-ending injury five games into the 2024 season before transferring to Indiana.

Wilkison is the second portal pick up Gajewski has made this offseason, joining Virginia Tech transfer Jayden Jones. OSU has also had a few enter the portal in Tallen Edwards, Micaela Wark, Kyra Aycock, Taylor Anderson and Tara Vandewater.
