Injury Report: Justin Wright Remains Out as Oklahoma State Hosts Arkansas
The Cowboys didn’t add anyone to the injury list entering Week 2.
The Cowboys will still be without Justin Wright on Saturday when they host Arkansas, but the good news is no one else has joined him on the injury list.
Oklahoma State hosts the Razorbacks at 11 a.m. Saturday in Boone Pickens Stadium, where the Cowboys will be without Wright, a senior linebacker, according to Dave Hunziker. Wright also missed last weekend’s game.
Wright has dealt with injury struggles in his time at Oklahoma State, as he played in just two games last season after transferring from Tulsa. With the Golden Hurricane, Wright recorded 254 tackles in five seasons. He made 101 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and two interceptions in 2022 at Tulsa.
Wright was listed second at linebacker on OSU’s initial two-deep behind reigning Big 12 tackle leader Nick Martin. Martin started alongside Jeff Roberson in the Cowboys’ 44-20 season-opening win against South Dakota State last week. Martin had 10 tackles, including a sack, Roberson made three tackles.
Hunziker didn’t mention Da’Wain Lofton’s status entering Saturday’s game. Lofton, a transfer slot receiver from Virginia Tech, missed the season opener. He had 35 catches for 410 yards and three touchdowns in three seasons with the Hokies.
