Introducing a New Intern at PFB: Jacob Overton Joins the Team

After introducing Luke Garza on Monday, we have somebody new to introduce today. Following the terrific work of Matt and Ryan Harris in the fall as our interns, OSU student Jacob Overton will be joining us for the spring.

Overton will help us with a lot of behind-the-scenes work and probably write a bit from time to time. I’m excited about him being on the #squad and pumped to see what he brings to the table this semester.

You might remember him from a story Hayden Barber wrote last year on his engagement. I’ll let him introduce himself.

Jacob Overton

My name is Jacob Overton and I’m in my final semester at Oklahoma State, soon to graduate with a sports management degree. You may have seen my first appearance on the site back in September when I proposed to my fiancée Jamie Lowrie on the softball diamond. (She said “yes”!)

I’m currently a student ticket representative for the OSU Ticket office and I’m applying to grad schools right now to pursue an MBA. Hopefully I’ll get accepted here at OSU and can continue to work for this thriving athletic department.

OSU is in my veins. I grew up being one of the few Cowboy fans in my school and I’ve never been ashamed to support our Pokes. I have a near spiritual connection with the campus, Boone Pickens Stadium, and with the Cowboy family as a whole. I’ve been a huge fan of PFB since (near) the beginning and I’m very excited to help contribute any way that I can!
