Jawun Evans Nabs Big 12 Freshman of the Year Award
Despite not having played since the end of January, Jawun Evans was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year on Sunday. Evans also led the All-Newcomer team. Here’s a look.
Evans and Newberry also both made All-Big 12 honorable mention (no OSU players were on the first three teams, sadly).
Oklahoma State has now had three of the last five Freshmen of the Year (Le’Bryan and Smart). Here’s a final look at Evans vs. Smart in terms of per 40 statistics in their freshman seasons. Insanely similar.
Jawun out for the yr. His per 40 stats vs. Smart’s 1st year.
