OSU commit Jax Forrest won two matches against Vito Arujau on Monday to earn the 61 kg spot at the World Championships.
Forrest won the first match 4-3, then punched his ticket with a 7-2 win in match two — even if it was a month late.
The match was originally scheduled for June 14, but Arujau was able to request an extension due to a nagging injury. Arujau was able to request the delay as a returning world medalist, taking home bronze last year
Forrest joins Wyatt Hendrickson and Zahid Valencia on Team USA which competes in September in Zagreb, Croatia.
