Jordan Oliver Wins Olympic Trials Tournament
Still work for Oliver to do to make the Olympics.
On Friday, Jordan Oliver upset Yianni Diakomihalis in the semifinals of the Olympic Trials Tournament to set up a best of three series with Joey McKenna.
Oliver beat McKenna in the first match 3-0 and again in the second 5-2.
Currently the Unites States has not qualified the 65 KG weight class for the Olympics, so there is still some work for Oliver to do.
He’ll need to place in the top-two at the last chance qualifier in Bulgaria in May. Here is a list of who will be entered in the tournament.
It won’t be easy, but with the way Oliver wrestled this weekend it seems he’s up for the task. Should be interesting to follow.
