Justin Broiles Talks About OSU Offer

John Marshall (OKC) standout Justin Broiles, former teammate of OSU signee Tramonda Moore, picked up offer No. 30 on Monday from Oklahoma State. A much overdue offer for the junior defensive back.

Broiles is a 6-foot, 175-lb. standout who has blown up on the recruiting trail over the last month with offers from Texas, Michigan, Miami, Texas A&M, and now Oklahoma State, among many others.

I got a chance to catch up with Broiles briefly after the offer, and he was all business when I asked what his initial reaction was. “It was just a regular feeling,” he said. “I didn’t feel any type of way towards it .. Felt like any other offer.”

Getting an offer from an in-state school is a big deal, but with his recruitment exploding the way it has, he knew it was likely to come sooner or later.

“I wasn’t really surprised by the offer. I knew if I was patient it would eventually come.”

Broiles coach, Rashuan Woods, and former teammate, Tramonda Moore, could play key roles in herding him in the direction of the Cowboys. Moore seemed pretty fired up about it on twitter:

On if Tramonda’s decision to sign with OSU had any impact on his future decision, Broiles said, “I really don’t know just yet. I just have to make this decision for me.”

Broiles was all business in his conversation, and I get the feeling that it’s one of the several things the Cowboys like about his approach with the game. Check out his highlights from his junior season here:
