Teams: #6 Oklahoma State 4-0 (1-0) vs. Kansas 2-2 (0-1)
Time: 2:30 PM CST
TV: None

Kickoff: It’s kind of nice to ease back into the schedule after a bye week with Kansas. It would be tough to go something like at A&M, off, then at Missouri. The bye came at the perfect time too. Let ’em hang in the second half in College Station, get in the top 5 of the polls, and get rewarded with a bye. Hopefully today is little more than a warmup for Texas next weekend.

For entertainment purposes:
Spread: Cowboys -31.5
Over/Under: 73.5

I think they cover the 73.5 (of course, I always think that), but Kansas hangs under the 31.5 spread. They have the 28th-ranked scoring offense in the country (A&M is 23rd) and OSU hasn’t really shown a propensity to hold the cover late in blowouts.

A few stats you should know:

    1. OSU hasn’t started 5-0 in back to back seasons since 1944-1945. Although I would like to point out that we’re a Houston Cougars meltdown away and a win against KU from four straight seasons of 5-0.
    1. Since the Big 8 started in 1960, OSU has won its first two conference games just seven times.
    1. OSU has been in the top ten for 14 weeks under Gundy. They’ve been in the top for only 25 other weeks in the history of the school.
  • What I’m excited for: Perusing the stat sheet tomorrow. Georgia Tech had ten guys (TEN GUYS!) with double digit rushing yards against Kansas en route to a 66-24 beat down. Can Weeden throw for 700 yards? Can Randle have a 200-200 game? Can twenty players catch a pass? Everything is in play.

OSU will win if: They turn it over fewer than 10 times.

How worried I am (out of 10):

    Uniform prediction:

Gun to my head: OSU 62-31 – Kansas is terrible. If you’re a top five team (and I FULLY believe we are) then this game is 40-something to 10 at halftime. Somebody on Twitter yesterday asked me if I’d rather OSU win 35-0 or 60-something to 28. I chose the latter. I want teams to think they have to score to even be in the game against OSU.

    Give me your predictions below!
