STILLWATER — The transfer portal doesn’t sleep, something which proved to be a good thing for Oklahoma State coaches on Sunday night.

Kansas State corner Kanijal Thomas reportedly visited Stillwater on Saturday. The redshirt sophomore played in a career-high 12 games in 2025 and saw the field for 81 defensive snaps per PFF.

It’s likely his career has been somewhat stunted by a season-ending injury suffered two games into 2024 after a seven-game freshman season that saw him contribute mostly on special teams (he played seven defensive snaps combined previously).

The 5-11, 186-pound defensive back finished his time at Kansas State with seven total tackles, one pass defense and a forced fumble. He also held opponents to four receptions on seven targets for 21 yards in 2025.

Thomas spent his high school days playing for Del City where he recorded 177 tackles, three interceptions and 14 pass defenses. He also hauled in 41 catches for 1,075 yards and 16 touchdowns, the vast majority of which came during his senior season.

Thomas is the third portal addition not from North Texas and only the second defensive player.
