Kickoff Time, TV Info Set for OSU’s Week 8 Game vs. Iowa State
The first 2:30 kick of the season is upon us.
After improving to 6-0 on the season on Saturday with a 32-24 win over No. 25 Texas, Oklahoma State has been slotted for a primetime showing this coming weekend as it heads to face Iowa State in Ames.
The Big 12 announced the Week 8 matchup against the Cyclones will kick at 2:30 and air on FOX. It is the only Big 12 game of the week that will air in the afternoon window, with OU-Kansas and Kansas State-Texas Tech slated for 11 a.m. kicks and West Virginia-TCU set to begin at 6:30 p.m. The OSU-Iowa State game was previously in a six-day selection window, giving networks the option to select their games following Saturday’s events.
As wild as it sounds, the matchup against Iowa State at 2:30 will be the first afternoon kick of the season for the Pokes, with all six of their games this season either kicking in the evening or at 11 a.m. OSU last season played six games at either 2:30 or 3:00 — including an early-season tilt against Iowa State — and went 5-1 in those games.
