Kickoff Time, TV Schedule for OSU Season-Opener vs. Tulsa Announced
And Here. We. Go.

Oklahoma State’s season-opening game against Tulsa on Sept. 12 will take place under the bright lights of Boone Pickens Stadium, the Big 12 Conference announced Tuesday morning. The Cowboys are one of four (!) conference members to play in the primetime slot, with two others — TCU (which plays on Sept. 11) and Kansas — slated for late-night kicks to open their respective seasons.
It won’t exactly be the same raucous environment of a packed-out crowd carrying OSU deep into the night that typically comes with the 6:30 p.m. kick because of attendance restrictions related to the pandemic, but it’s a win for OSU to get its first game of the season off the tracks in what will likely be one of the best games in the time slot on that evening.
The game will be carried on either ESPN or ESPNU.

This will be the first (and only) week that Big 12 teams face non-Big 12 teams as part of a modified schedule in which the league will play its full nine-game conference schedule but eliminated its remaining games because of the pandemic. Here’s a look at the rest of the conference’s schedule that week:
