Le’Bryan Nash Named BJ League All-Star Game MVP
Former Oklahoma State standout Le’Bryan Nash has spent his season playing in the BJ league, where he was recently named as an all-star in the league.
Nash helped guide the East team to a 115-108 victory over the West, scoring 25 points on 10-for-20 shooting, including 2-for-4 from 3-point range and adding nine rebounds. He was named the game MVP.
Here’s what Nash had to say post game via the Japan Times:
“It was a scoring output for me because I put up some good numbers in high school,” he said, looking back on his schoolboy exploits at the Classic. “And (today) coming out here and put up some great numbers and showed why everybody talks about me scoring the ball.
“It was just a great atmosphere and I’m just glad the team won.”
Nash leads the BJ league in scoring this season, averaging an impressive 25.8 points per game during a breakout rookie season.
“I just want to come out and make a name for myself in Japan and lead Fukushima to a title,” Nash said.
Nash’s team, the Fukushima Firebonds, currently sit at fourth in the standings heading into the second half of the season.
