LIVE UPDATES
FINAL: OSU 13, ISU 20
OSU 10, ISU 17: But the Pokes only get 3 points from that great field position. After direct snap play to Trent Howland got swallowed up, the Cowboys take the points and make it a one score game.
OSU 7, ISU 17: But just like that, the Cowboys recover a punt that bounced off a Cyclone to give them the ball at the ISU 14.
OSU 7, ISU 17:Â That drive was killed by self-inflicted wounds. The Cowboys got a holding call that wiped off a big play to Quinton Stewart and then Shamar Rigby got flagged for unsportsmanlike tacking on another 15 yards.
OSU 7, ISU 17: After trading three-and-outs the Cyclones were the first to score in the second half. Abu Sama broke look for another big run, this one a 40-yard touchdown.
HALFTIME: OSU 7, ISU 10
The Cyclones’ final drive was slowed by an offensive pass interference call. Iowa State will get the ball to start the third.
OSU 7, ISU 10: Zane Flores hit his stride on that last drive, going 6-6 for 65 yards to set up Trent Howland’s 8-yard touchdown. Flores 11-14 for 98 yards and has completed-straight passes. Nice answer for OSU.
OSU 0, ISU 10: And the Cyclones capitalize on the turnover. Abu Sama broke loose for a 28-yard rush to put them in the red zone and Rocco Becht pays it off with a TD strike to Chase Sowell.
OSU 0, ISU 3:Â Another fumble, but this one gets recovered by the defense. Gavin Freeman had it punched out and the Cyclones take over at the OSU 46.
OSU 0, ISU 3:Â The Cowboys got a great stop on third-and-1 deep in ISU territory but the Cyclones convert with a tush push. Then a holding call set them back behind the chains and the Pokes pay it off by forcing a punt. Cowboys take over at their own 36.
OSU 0, ISU 3:Â Loose footballs everywhere. After Trent Howland had the ball punched out, OL Grant Seagren fell on top of it. The Pokes had to punt but it was muffed before ISU’s Aiden Flora jumped on it back at the 7-yard line.
OSU 0, ISU 3:Â The Cowboys stall out again. The Cyclones stretched out their drive for nearly six and a half minutes. The Pokes did hold Iowa State to a field goal.

OSU 0, ISU 0: After the Cowboys go three-and-out on their first drive, their defense gets a big stop when Jacobi Oliphant Jr. sacked Rocco Becht for a loss of seven to bring up fourth-and-12.

After the hiring of new head coach Eric Morris this weekend, a lot of the focus will be on next year’s Cowboy football team, but there are still some seniors to celebrate and the possibility to get them an outgoing win.
Oklahoma State comes in 1-10 and 0-8 in conference play. There are no true moral victories in football, but the current Cowboys have showed some improvements over the last month even if none got them over the hump for a win. The Cowboys were tied with UCF in the fourth quarter last week and lost by just three. The week before that they lost by just eight to Kansas State. Can they finally get that elusive Big 12 win against Iowa State?
The Cyclones (7-4, 4-4) come in trying to finish a teeter-totter season on the upswing. After starting 5-0, Iowa State dropped four straight games to bump them out of conference contention. But they’ve strung together a couple of wins against TCU and Kansas and would like to go into bowl season 8-4.
Things kick off at 11 a.m. on what might be a cold and rainy Saturday morning in Stillwater.
