Stay up to date as the Cowboys host the Golden Hurricane.
UPDATES
Oklahoma State 12, Tulsa 19 | Q4 5:44
The Cowboys have to settle for another FG, but we’ve got a one-score game with over five minutes to go. Can the Pokes actually avoid disaster?
Oklahoma State 9, Tulsa 19 | Q4 14:14
Zane Flores breaks the TD-less streak and sneaking into the end zone, thanks to an upheld official review that followed a review on the previous play which didn’t go the Pokes’ way. Unfortunately, his two-point attempt pass was intercepted.
The Cowboys are down two scores with most of the fourth quarter left. They’ve at least shown some life.
END of Q3: Oklahoma State 3, Tulsa 19
The Cowboys were this close to gaining some momentum but, once again, stumbled in the red zone. After the Richardson turnover, OSU turned it over on downs in the red zone. They Cowboys then forced their first (!!!!) punt with two minutes left in the third and are back in the red zone
Dominic Richardson goes airborne and lets loose of the ball. Dylan Smith falls on it to give OSU the ball at the Tulsa 42. But can the Cowboys take advantage of some rare momentum?
And the Cowboys turn it over on downs. Zane Flores has looked promising over the last couple of drives, but the Cowboys still can’t move the chains. This is not an attractive drive chart.

Oklahoma State 3, Tulsa 19 | Q2 11:14
Another Tulsa drive, another Tulsa field goal. At this rate, they’ll nickel the Cowboys to death. The silver lining is if OSU ever figures out how to string together first downs, they could catch back up with a could TDs.
HALF: Oklahoma State 3, Tulsa 16
The Cowboys scored a field goal on their first possession but have punted their last four. Fortunately, they’ve held the Golden Hurricane to three straight field goals after their opening-drive TD. Otherwise this would be out of hand at halftime.
#OKState gained more yards in the first half at Oregon than at home against Tulsa tonight.

Oklahoma State 3, Tulsa 16 | Q2 2:32
Once again, the Golden Hurricane marches down the field and once again the Cowboys hold them to 3. But you can’t keep trading 3 for 0.
Oklahoma State 3, Tulsa 13 | Q2 7:49
At least they’re keeping them to field goals???
Tulsa = good at fourth downs
Oklahoma State = bad at fourth downs
Is Baylor Hayes Johnny Football?
End of Q1: Oklahoma State 3 | Tulsa 10
The Cowboys showed a couple glimpses, as if they theoretically knew how to move the ball and get stops, but they weren’t able to do it consistently and are down 10-3 against a Tulsa team that’s 0-2 against FBS teams.
Oklahoma State 3, Tulsa 10 | Q1 2:41
The Cowboys bent pretty bad but didn’t quite get snapped in half this time. OSU holds Tulsa to a field goal this time to go up a touchdown.
Tulsa marching down the field, knocking down fourth-downs like they’re gimmes. And lookie here. Bryan McCoy and Malik Charles each go down in quick succession.
Oklahoma State 3, Tulsa 7 | Q1 8:32
Three-and-out No. 11 in nine quarters of football.
Oklahoma State 3, Tulsa 7 | Q1 9:36
Not to be outdone, the Golden Hurricane came with some Homecoming flavor.
Braylin Presley made his return to BPS count. He caught his first pass for a 19-yard touchdown, the first receiving TD of his career.
Oklahoma State 3, Tulsa 0 | Q1 11:45
The Cowboys march down the field just to stall out, but there were some nice things. They’ve already matched their points total from Eugene.
The Cowboys go back-to-back RPOs for back-to-back completions which made some room for Rodney Fields Jr. to rip off a big run. He had a couple of big runs and Zane Flores also looked good with the ball in his hands. Unfortunately, the drive stalled in the red zone.
The Cowboys are back home after stewing in an ugly loss for two weeks. Now they’ll face a Tulsa team that is also yet to win at the FBS level this year.
Oklahoma State comes in 1-1 after defeating FCS opponent UT-Martin in its opener and then being absolutely murdered in Eugene by Oregon. Through just two games we’ve seen a potential breakout QB star Hauss Hejny go down with an extended injury. Now it’s up to Zane Flores to help the offense rebound from a 3-point performance in his first career start.
Across the field, Tulsa is 1-2 after a win over FCS school Abilene Christian and then losses to New Mexico State and Navy. The Golden Hurricane is also dealing with QB issues after Week 1 starter Kirk Francis dealt with a concussion. East Tennessee State transfer Baylor Hayes took the snaps against Navy and both could play Friday night.
We’ll update this post regularly throughout the game, so be sure to keep refreshing.
