Marcus Smart on Brad Underwood: ‘I Like The Way He’s Coaching’
Marcus Smart was in the stands on Saturday to watch his Cowboys take down Tulsa on the road. And he stopped to chat with Orange Power Studio’s Allison Gappa on his thoughts about new head coach Brad Underwood and more.
“Great coach, I hear a lot from Phil. I watched when he was at SFA a little bit. And I like the way he’s coaching. He’s definitely a great coach.”
On what he misses about being at OSU: “Really just the love. Everybody here — Cowboy nation — they love their team. They love their athletes. Boston fans remind me of that. Boston fans are just as crazy and fanatic. I love coming back and seeing a lot of orange.”
Marcus Smart was in town not only to watch his former team play, but also because he had work to do. Boston played OKC on Sunday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena, where he got the start in place of the injured Isaiah Thomas.
Smart had 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 9 assists in a 99-96 loss to the Thunder.
