Marcus Smart didn’t turn pro because of a bad wrist
Marcus Smart is coming bac, but maybe not for the reasons you think.
Marcus Smart returned to Oklahoma State at the end of the basketball season, forgoing his career as a professional, because he loves the Cowboys and just couldn’t imagine life without one more year in Stillwater, right?
Eh, maybe not.
Here’s Reid Forgrave from the USA Basketball Men’s U19 World Championship training camp in Colorado:
Great talk w @smart_MS3 on why return to Ok St. End season left bad taste…but also hurt wrist in NCAAs, couldn't lift ball til May.

If Marcus Smart's wrist healthy, probably going to NBA, he told me. But pumped 1 more year college: "I get to be a kid for 1 more year."

Wait…what?
It’s true, apparently.
You can think Eskimo Joe’s, the Colvin, and a bummy wrist for that preseason top 10 ranking next year.
